Being from a veterinary background, I always aspired to become a veterinary surgeon and, one day, to own my own practice. What began as a lifelong dream has now become a reality with the creation of Southside Veterinary Clinic.
My fascination and love for animals has shaped both my life and my career. As a veterinary surgeon with 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of caring for countless pets and their families across Glasgow. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to providing the highest standards of veterinary care, while treating every patient with kindness, compassion and respect.
I believe that every pet deserves the same level of care, expertise and compassion that we would want for our own family. For me, being a vet is about much more than treating illness — it is about building trust, understanding the special bond between pets and their owners, and being there for them throughout every stage of their lives.
At Southside Veterinary Clinic, my vision is to create an independent practice where pets receive exceptional veterinary medicine in a welcoming, personal and caring environment. Most importantly, I want our clients to feel that they know their veterinary team, that their pets are genuinely cared for, and that they are always in safe hands.
Southside Veterinary Clinic is the realisation of a lifelong dream, and I am incredibly proud to share it with the pets and families of our community.

Fearful or anxious pet?
At Southside Veterinary Clinic, we understand that for some pets, visiting the vet can be a stressful or frightening experience. That’s why we have introduced our Fear-Free Appointments, designed to make veterinary visits as calm, positive and comfortable as possible.
Our experienced and compassionate team takes the time to understand each pet as an individual. By using gentle handling, patience and positive experiences, we aim to reduce fear and anxiety, gradually desensitise pets to unfamiliar sights, sounds and handling, and build trust and confidence between your pet and our team.
For pets who need additional support, we can also provide appropriate veterinary medication to help alleviate anxiety and reduce stress, where clinically suitable.
Our fear-free approach extends to Bark & Barber, our in-house grooming service, where nervous, elderly or particularly sensitive pets can be accommodated with veterinary support. Where appropriate, medication or sedation can be used and pets are monitored by our registered veterinary nursing team.
Because veterinary care shouldn’t have to be scary. Our goal is simple — to help every pet feel safe, comfortable and understood.
Veterinary care in the comfort of your home
Not every pet feels comfortable coming to the vet. At Southside Veterinary Clinic, we offer veterinary home visits to make accessing veterinary care easier and less stressful for you and your pet.
Your pet remains part of the Southside Veterinary Clinic family, with the same experienced veterinary team and continuity of care you would receive at our Giffnock practice.
Whether your pet needs a simple health assessment, ongoing care, advice about an elderly pet, or support during a difficult time, our aim is to provide calm, compassionate and personalised veterinary care from a team who knows you and your pet.
